#14 DIY, HOW TO MAKE ''THE XX'' SHIRT

Hello there,
So if you've seen my latest Instagram post already, you probably saw a picture of me with a DIY T-shirt. I've always wanted to have a ''The XX'' T-shirt and now I finally made one. I've been listening the XX for already 3 years now and I still love them! So today I will show you how I made this T-shirt. If you don't like The XX, you can always do another cut-out. Here I'm just showing you the technique of using felt to decorate a T-shirt.

What you'll need:
- Felt
- T-shirt
~
- Cardboard
- Pen
- Scissors
- Needle and thread

Let's begin!
1. I don't have picture of this, but I basically cut out a rectangle to make the X's.
2. You're gonna start off with putting the cardboard rectangle on your piece of felt. Then you're going to outline the cardboard with a pen (you don't have to worry about the pen marks, those will be on the back).

3. Then you're going to flip the cardboard over and trace it again (I used a piece of paper with a straight edge to make sure the cardboard would align nicely)

4. Then repeat the same process. Now you should have something that looks like this.

5. Cut the shapes out and then place them on the T-shirt.

6. I just freehanded the "THE" cut out. But you can use cardboard cut outs for this too if you'd like.

7. Now that you cut all the pieces, it's time to position it. I decided to go for the second picture below here. The first one looks kinda weird lol.

8. Sew the pieces on the T-shirt.

9. And now you're done!
